One of the elephant of the double herd of performing ele phants is named "General Grant" af ter the late president and command er-ln-chief of the TJ. 8. army. This elephant last Decoration day walked with the C A. R. boys In the town showed and placed flowers on the graves of departed comrades with the care and patriotism of a human being. The Circus Minister. The minister with Sells-Floto (they carry a minister. Rev. J. C. Merrlman. born near Athena) preaches to the show people every Sunday. Last Sunday he talked on "The Boys In Blue." Said he: "The dearest blood, the best blood, runs In the veins of the American soldier. The liberty we enjoy today was made possible by them. So the most blessed sight to man is the Stars and Stripes. In prayer, in thought, In deed, in every walk of life, we should keep topmost the remembrance of the soldier boys of our land. My sentiment for sol diers living and dead Is 'Cheers for the living, tears for the dead..' " Who Is She? The Pendleton girl with the Sells Floto circus is the talk of Bociety. She is trying to hide her identity. Be cause of this the "Smart Set" will at tend the circus Saturday, May 30, and try to pick her out. "Who is she?" is the kuestlon of the hour.
