Willed, In company with hlB father had been moving the hay derrick from where It had been In uko, to the Eppinger ranch. A cable wan connected with the top of the derrick and Willett was guld lug hU cable In keeping the derrick In place. When tho accident occurred he had allowed It to swing around the derrick and the electric wires came In contact. The cable which had been used for KUidlng the derrick carried the current down throunh the body of Willett, which received all Its Intense voltage. So powerful was the nhock that the boy could not release himself, and the body clung convulsively to the cable. Ho was fearfully burned by the force of tho current. They had Just crossed tho ditch with the derrick and the father turn ed and looked to see his son's hand smoking where It wns being burned by the electricity. Ho rushed to his assistance und uttempted to pull the boy off. only to be knocked down himself bv the shock. The horses became frightened nnd ran away pulflng the derrick pole away from tho live wire, and releasing young Willett' from his perilous position. According to the surgeon, the boy's 'eft arm Is almost burned off, one finger of the left hand Is burned off. ami his left leg and right side are badly buiiied also. The father escaped with hut slight Injury except from the awfiil shock. No Wool Nub's ill RoIhc. The wool sales conducted this morning at the Kulk warehouse un der the direction of the Idaho Wool growers' association, resulted In prac tically no sales, as only GO out of 600 sncks were disposed of. nnd these through the private arrangements of the parlies. For some weeks he has wor ried Incessantly over little difficulties In the working of the machinery, and o his wife he had signified an inten tion of quitting the trade. ThlB has occasioned much surprise as he was known to be a very efficient opera tor. He was easily agitated, but of a happy disposition. Family troubles have been hinted at, but this Ib with out ground, as he was a devoted hus band and father. He was 32 years old. tall and rather Blight, and had a mass of wavy brown hair, also a brown mustache. Mrs. watz Is pros trated and fears arc entertained as to her sanity. She has neither slept nor eaten since the disappearance of hor husbnnd. She believes that he suddenly became Insane nnd destroyed himself. A slight Irregularity In his books had occurred and this also worried him considerably. However, the other sets kept by officers In the company, tallied perfectly, and hlB mistake could easily bo accounted for. Troy (Iduho) News. Northern Puolfle Extension. Two carloads of horses, several car loads of equipment, a carload of pow der and two cars of provisions were received here by Porter Bros. & Welch last Monday, says the Culdo sac Register. Tho second big steam shovel was received here a few days ago and Is being put up so that It can be nut into operation In a few days. The new shovel Is built on the princi ple of a traction engine nnd does not require o track like the one at pres ent In use. It Is also of greater ca naeltv and will accomplish more work. As soon as the cut Is completed at the depot both shovels will be moved to the east end of town to moke a cut at the Fisher place, where quite quantity of blasting powder will be used. The teams will be used at the grading camps and In moving supplies and equipments to the several camps on the prairie construction. Brockway and Charles Vlckers gave strong testi mony In support ot the pro-ccutlon, The crime with which Phlnncy ls charged occurred at Culdesac last Thursday afternoon and the victim of the poisoning died the next morning after being unconscious from the ef fects of the drug for many hours. Bradley, Brockway and Vlckers were arrested nt the time of Phlnncy as possible accomplices. Lewlston Trib une. New Ditch Company nt Bilker.
