Nearly 300 stockmen, who have been In Walla Walla since Monday attending the meeting called by the officers of the forestry bureuu. left lHst night for their homes, the business of the meet ing, as far a.-) the stockmen not on committees, are concerned, having been finished up. The committee appointed Monday to settle the boundaries between the sheep and the cattlemen In the We naha reserve, made Its report yester day afternoon after nearly three days' hard work. The committee was divid ed Into sub-committees to apportion the different sections of the reserve in a maiinur that would be satisfac tory to both the sheep and cattle men. While both factions were bent on obtaining every bit of territory avail able the sessions In the main were harmonious tuid it Is believed as a result of the Walla Walla meeting that a better reeling exists between the cattle and sheepmen has been reached. The five districts decided upon are as follows: District No. 1 Embracing the dis trict beginning at the southern bound ary of the reserve, being the full wdit hof the reserve east and west and extending north to about the cen ter of township 3, thence to the forks of the Umatilla river, where the north an dsouth forks meet. The committee appointed by the chairman were T. T. Glenn, J. A. Woodoll, E. F. Wilbur, William Slusher. W. C. Johnston. John Rust. William Choate and D. B. Smith. District No. 2 Embracing a por tion of the reserve beginning at the center of township S, being the mouth of the north and south forks of the Umatilla, extending east and west to the boundary of the reserve and north to the north line of township 4, ex cepting the snld township 4, where the northerly boundary Is the south fork of the Walla Walla.
