The special road commis sioners, so appointed by the county court and county surveyor, who shall qualify us hereinafter provided, shall, within a reasonable time, proceed to lay out and establish such roads as the petition may name, and wttnin the points named in the petition, and as soon thereafter as the same can be done, return to the county court a map and profile of such road, Includ ing upon the map, as near as possible the names of the land owners whose property may be liable to be taxed Atlanta, Ga., Jan. 19. The birth day of Robert E. Lee was celebrated today by a parade of all the white military of the city. Houston. Texas, Jan. 19. The birthday anniversary of Gen. Lee was observed throughout Texas today by the local chapters of the Daughters of the Confederacy, who prepared and carried out elaborate programs, the features of which were Southern songs and readings relating to the life of the great Confederate leader.
