of the irrigation problems offered
them. All have unbounded faith, and
capital enough to make the desert
blossom as the rose.

Veterinarian Sells Out His Business
and Remove to Portland Perma
nently. Dr. J. Christie, who has been In
this city for several years In the prac
tice of the veterinary profession, has
sold out to Dr. T. J. Lloyd, and leaves
tonight for Portland, where he will
reside permanently.
Dr. Christie has been deputy stock
inspector for the state veterinarian.
In Umatilla county, and is a member
of the state veterinarian board. His
successor as inspector baa not yet
been named.
The family of Dr. Lloyd hi expected
to arrive tonight from North Powder
to occupy the house formerly occu
pied by Dr. Christie.
