Rhea, aged about CO years, the father of numerous children and the presi dent of the First National Bank of Heppner, retaliates by marrying1 an other woman. The breach of promise suit for $15,000 Is pressed and he Is forced to settle. The Heppner flood left him again a widower, and last week he married the woman whose broken heart was supposed to have been healed by the .payment of money In the breach of promise suit. The marriage was solemnized more than a week ago at Ynqulnn nay, but the bride and groom have not yet return ed from their honeymoon. The Dal les Chronicle. Idaho's Big Yields. To print the names of all the farm ers, fruit growers and stockrnlsers In the Boise valley who have raised big crops and secured handsome returns, would require several pages of the Capital News. A few have been se lected, not ns exceptions, but as sam ples of what many have done this year. Luther Rrlggs, who resides two miles northeast of Meridian, secured a few pounds over 100 bushels of oats to the ncre. The grains were plump nnd of good color that would grade No. 1 In the Chicago market. William Ilrlggs, who resides on the old Cole ranch, threshed 54 bushels of wheat to the acre, machine meas ure. It weighs considerably gver 60 pounds to the bushel, so that the ac tual yield was more than 54 bushels. Boise Capital News. . Ore for New Smelter. Every section of the mining coun try tributary to Baker City and , Sumpter Is contributing Its supply of ore to the Sumpter smelter. The latest Important news in this I direction comes to the Democrat from the Seven Devils district. The Ladd ! Metals Company, owning the Landore .smelter, has shown Its public spirit by contributing 200 tons of 40 per I cent copper ore, just the kind of ore j needed by the Sumpter smelter.
