Early summer and cooking apples are rather plentiful in the orchards in the valley and the windfalls can be had very cheap by picking them up. All the wheat raisers Yohnka, Marks, Fancher and others in the once abandoned region north of town, report a yield of 25 and 30 bushels of fine wheat, which puts them all on easy street. Last year they were living in dejection alley. George Kidder, Barney Crowner and Mr. De Lateur, all, having ranches below town, are successfully operat ing wheels in raising water for irrl gation.
