Alex McPhorson, state horticultural and pure food inspector, has returned from an extended trip through tho northern part of the state, during which bo attended farmers' Insti tutes at Bonners Forry, Hathdrum, American Ridge and several other points. He reports a very noticeable Increase In the Interest taken by far mers, dairymen, horticulturists and others In the work of the Institutes, tho attendance nt each of thu meet ings having been much larger than In tho past years.
