Telegraph Service Is Increased Be

Umatilla, Dec. 22. A new wire has
just been strung by the O. R. & N.
between this place and Spokane, to
meet the great Increase In company
business. This new wire will be for
the exclusive use of the company,
and will handle nothing but strictly
local business.
It will bo cut in only at important
places, such as Walla Walla, Wallu
la, Tckoa, Starbuck, Colfax, Rlparla
and Spokane. This makes four
wires in use by the company along
this line, besides tho four Western
Union wires, making a total of eight
wires on the telegiupli line between
here and Spokane.
