Jacob Zuber, who met with a serious accident by falling Sunday afternoon, died last evening at 5:10 o'clock. Carden, of Athena, died last nlgbt at '10:15 o'clock, of paralysis. He was stricken about eight days ago, sinco which time he had been entirely helpless. Mr. Carden was 78 years and 10 months ot age at the time ,or his death. He was a Virgin ian by birth and had been a resident of Umatilla county from March, 1878. For about seven years he resided in Pendleton and theu moved to Athe na, where he had since resided. He vas a carpenter by occupation. His wife, who was a sister of Mrs. A. M. Raley, of this place, died about seven years ago. Mr, and Mrs. Carden are survived by six sons 'and one daugh ter. The sons are A. O. and James, of this place; Fred, a resident of Athena; Mclvln and William, w,ho .re side at Wenafchee, Wash., and Hen ry, who is in the Klondike. The daughter, Mrs. Qozbl Henderson, lives at Falrhaven, Wash, The fun eral will bo from Baker & Folsoa's undertaking parlors at 2 p. m. tomor row, and will be conducted by Rev. Potwlno.
