the agent In the capital of 2600 na
tional banks and It Is his dally duty
on behalf of thesn Institutions to see
and count the bills of these banks
which are sent to the treasury depart
ment to be destroyed "macerated,"
as they call It there. After carefully
counting and keeping a lecord of
these bills he personally sees that
they are chopped up. His fees range
