GENERAL NEWS Careful computation gives the strength of the scattered Boer com mands at between 8000 and 9000 men. Casper Kruger, the eldest son of President Kruger, and 24 other rela tives of Mr. Kruger "bearing the same name, are among those who have re cently taken the oath of allegiance to Great Britain. President Andrew Draper, of the University of Illinois, and Mrs. Dra per, were thrown from their carriage while driving and the president's left leg was broken above the knee.
