Mrs. Charles Gail, who was in jured recently when a lire blew out and cut her leg, is much im proved but is still unable to get around. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Gail attend ed the Oregon Washington basket- ball game in Eugene Tuesday eve ning on their way home from Washington. The game was won by Oregon with a score of 37-36. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Garrison and son Boyd and daughter Carol of Elkton were Sunday guests ol Mr. and Mrs. James Adamo on Sar dine Creek. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McClarnon. Mr. and Mrs. McCarn of Roseburg visited from Saturday until Tues day with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mc Lean. Vern Walker, Arthur Duscnberry, Chet Howell and Cecil VanHorn are attending night school in Med ford where they are taking a course in blacksmithing and elec tric welding. The school is being conducted under the direction of the national defense program. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Rosecrans of Cottage Grove, are visiting with his mother, Mrs. Gertrude Bose- crans and family of Galls Creek. Miss Lucille Smith was a week end guest of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Johnston at their home in Medford. SCHOOL BOARD TO SELECT TEACHERS FEBRUARY 22 The Gold Hill school board will hold its regular meeting this month on Saturday evening, Feb ruary 22. Teachers for the coming year will be selected at this time. DORMANS SURPRISED AT HOUSEWARMING WEDNESDAY Mr. and Mrs. Lins Dorman were pleasantly surprised Wednesday i evening when a group of their ! friends honored them at a house warming party. The evening was spent playing games and refresh ments of sandwiches, chocolate and ice cream were served.
