COOK AT FINAL EXERCISES A capacity crowd filled the high school gymnasium here Wednesday evening. May 26 when the seventeen members of the senior class receiv ed their diplomas. The address ol the evening was given by Kennetu Scott Wood, debate coach at Med ford high school. Mr. Wood gave a very interesting talk on “Friend or Enemy.” Miss Frieda Young, valedictorian of the class and Miss Frances Reames, class salutatonan respond ed with short talks. Special awards were given as follows: Reed Freshman trophy, giv en to the outstanding freshman, was awarded to Dorothea Duncan. The Balfour Key which goes to the sen ior ranking highest for the four years of high school in scholarship, loyalty and achievement was pre sented to Miss Frieda Young. The Athletic award was given to Leo Walker and the Activity award to Frances Reames. Following these awards the di plomas were presented by W. E. Boss, chairman of the board of di rectors. A beautiful leather zipper notebook was given to Supt. L. T. Cook by Leo Walker, student body president, in appreciation of his fine work in the school here.
