OREGON, THURSDAY, APRIL 29, 1937 Music Week To Be Held Here Big Opening Dance At Gold Hill Pavilion SAMS VALLEY This Saturday night, May I, w ill see the opening ut the spacious Gold llill dance pavilion, when Merrill*!« Gay-NInties 5-piece orchestra w ill play for dancers of southern Ore gon from 9 until 2. The lurge hall here is well known by the danclRg public and the floor Is considered one of the best in this section. The dance is being sponsored" by the Northwest Jackson county fair board and funds raised w ill be used to pay the expenses of the fa ir to be held here in September. All Grangers, garden club members and members of the fa ir board ure be hind the movement in an effort to make it one ol the best dances ever held in Gold H ill. Everyone who likes to have a good time on Saturday night, or who is u tiouster for the annual fair should plan to attend the dance here Saturday. Admission is 45 cents for men. Ladies free. NEWS NUMBER 3 Rainbow Roof Get* New Coat Of Paint The rainbow on the roof of the ranch-home of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Walker received a new coat ol p«ipt this week, with three new colors being added. The rainbow, the only known one of its kind is an original idea of Mrs. Walker's and consists of three stripes paint ed in bright colors on the green roof.
