Several m onths ago there was a fine specimen of gold dust on exhibition here, taken from a tame duck’s gizzard, brought A here by a man from Sardine Creek. Yesterday a rnan came into the Racket Store and asked rfM the proprietor if he bought gold dust; yes, sir, was the reply. Well, he said I have been informed th a t the Racket Store is the cheapest place to buy goods for cash. The Racket man asked, from what locality is your gold? Sardine Creek, was the answer. From what m ine? was another question asked by the Racket m an. Do you see th a t dog laying there? well, a few days ago I noticed something shining in his m outh. Upon exam ina- tion. I found th at the anim als teeth were filled with gold.
