The increased area of hopyards will command attention. The more hops wo grow the better onr market 'will J in connection with fruit growing, but tho majority refuse to believe that a large fruit crop, and a reliably good one, will bring higher prices than small fruit supply can. ine more wheat we grow Ihe better our market will be. Tho wheat market abroad has been firm and has advanced two shillings re gaining what it has lost since January. Then wheat was 40s to 41s per 500 pounds, but it Trent as low as 3Ss ihe lowest figure known for years. There has been sharp speculation in American markets, rrices here show little change. We are now dependent on the local de mand or else hold wheat for what it will bring after harvest. The supply in our home granaries is fully equal to any possible demand for the next few months. Quotations stand about 1.40 to $1.47 for valley. AVool is quotable at IGo although tiere is none coming forward vet. Eastern 17c Oats remain as they have been, 47c to i0c per bnihcL Potatoes respond to the demand from San Francisco and that being well sup plied the market is not lively, prices range from oOo to COc per bushel. Butter shows liberal stocks, supplies coming from California and the East as well as home dairies, prices range from 25c$d2cVi. Eggs in liberal supply, 23c to 25c. Dried fruit comes from California and elsewhere and little Oregon fruit in stock. Frobably there is none in the hands of produe ers.
