IB. 7 ip l! M P t M I n' p w- Hog Products of Oregon. The San Franeltco Commercial Herald copies tho follow lug paragraph from a Cin cinnati papor: "The packers of San Francisco, who have organized a "Board of Provision Packors," are exerting thomelves to enlarge the busi ness of growing hogs In California, by urg ing upon the attention of farmers the1 profits to toe derived therefrom as compared with growing other farm products." u ' , And then makes the following editorial comments: , . . , "There is one point in the, foregoing re marks abont which we shall take the liberty to correct the Cincinnati Price Current. The quality of California hog meat is not deemed superior or at all equal to that which come to us from the Western Stales. It i bard, dry, thin, and has a bittei1 flavor which no effort seems to overcome. Our hogs are not grain fed, as a rule, and the majority of them are almost wholly uncared for throughout the year. But it Is far different with the hog meats of Oregon, which are very superior and much esteemed." look Out For Him.
