Tho yiold is nearly equal, por acre, to that of sor ghum, and docs not Interfere with tho production of green corn for market, from tho same stalk. Somkijody in Connecticut sold a bottle of tho best brandy, and Prof. Silliman of Yale Collego having an alyzed tho same, finds in it alum, iron, sulphuric acid, essential oil of some kind, tannic acid, Guinea pep per, burnt sugar, lead anil copper, with a basis of whisky.
