I think it’s kind of a one-of-a-kind thing.” McPherson and Bissell were motivated to create this likely one-off pro- gram after attending a panel in January that fea- tured poet Robin Coste Lewis, memoirist Casey Gerald, and fellow book- store-owner Hannah Ol- iver Depp. Each speaker read favorite Baldwin excerpts and spoke per- sonally about how they first “met” his work.
