The 2018 lineup features Bouton Volonte (pictured here; modern dance/vogue/queer art from Portland); Angel Moonyeka Alviar-Langley (dance/street styles/digital art from Seattle); Cheryl Delostrinos (dance from Seattle); Eli Steffen (participatory performance from Seattle); Britt Karhodd (dance/theatre from Seattle); John Berendzen (live sound installation from Portland). Risk/Reward solicits proposals from regional artists for new works that can be performed in less than 20 minutes, and five performances are staged back to back. Supported by the Native Arts and Cultures Foundation and We Can Listen, “Native Perspectives on Arts, Culture & Justice” will focus on each artist’s individual story fol- lowed by a discussion centered on how the artists ad- dress issues of justice affecting Native communities locally and globally. Moderated by Grammy-nominat- ed local recording artist and theatrical performer Ju- lianne R. Johnson, each We Can Listen event explores a topic of current, social, political, or environmental importance in an atmosphere of trust and respect for both speakers and audience alike. Beginning on Monday, April 30 Multnomah County Elections will open the Voting Center Express inside the Multnomah County East Building in downtown Gresham. The Voting Center Express is an additional service location that is open the 15 days before each election. At the Voting Center Express citizens can re- place a lost or damaged ballot or update their voter registration information. Voters with a disability can get assistance. Voters who speak a language other than English can get assistance in their native lan- guage. Elections staff are available for questions or any other elections-related help. The Voting Center Express is located inside the Multnomah County East Building at 600 NE 8th Street in Gresham near the Gresham Central Transit Cen- ter and parking. The Voting Center Express is open April 30 to Election Day, May 15. Normal office hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday. The Voting Center Express will offer extended open hours: May 9, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. May 10, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. May 11, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. May 12, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. May 14, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. Election Day, Tuesday, May 15, 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. Ballots can only be accepted at the Voting Center Express during open hours.
