Multnomah County Animal Services (MCAS) asks the community to help send every pet home for the holidays by spreading the word about the Days of December Adoption Special. For the fourth year in a row, adoption fees equal the day of the month for all pets six months and older, from Dec. 1 through the 31. This means that adopters can adopt a dog or a cat for $3 on December 3, or for $8 on December 8 and so forth. The adoption does not include the cost of li- censing for Multnomah County residents, due at the time of adoption. All applicants will go through the regular adoption process to make sure homes and an- imals are well matched to each other. The shelter is located at 1700 Columbia River Hwy, Troutdale. The shelter is open from noon - 7 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 11 am until 4:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday. The shelter is closed on Wednesdays. There will be several holiday closures where the promotional adoption fee will be unavailable.
