FORT VANCOUVER REGIONAL LIBRARY USED BOOK SALE: BOOKAPALOO-
ZA 16: Bookapalooza 16 will feature surplus library books for kids
and adults. Books will be bargain priced at $1 for all hardbacks and
trade paperbacks and 50 cents for mass-market adult fiction paper-
backs. Proceeds from this book sale will be used to support Fort Van-
couver Regional Library District’s programs and services. 9 a.m. – 6
p.m. District Headquarters, 1007 E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver.

FINDERS KEEPERS OPENING WEEKEND: Finders Keepers on the beach
begins. Opening weekend includes a special glass drop of 50 extra
floats, 50 glass art pieces, and a jumbo float with a weekend getaway
package hidden along the 7 ½ miles of public beach in Lincoln City
from the Roads End area to Siletz Bay. 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

hai’s of Lake Oswego will present a program at Lake Oswego Public
Library to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. with quotes from Dr. King,
music and refreshments. Public is encouraged to join in on this free

MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. CELEBRATION WITH WORKSHOPS, RALLY
AND MARCH: This year’s event theme is “Welcome the Power to Make
Change.” The MLK, Jr. celebration committee invites all to join in a
renewal of our commitment to the goals of Martin Luther King, Jr.
9:30 a.m. – 1:45 p.m., Garfield High School, 400 23rd Ave. E. Event will
occur regardless of rain, sun, snow or icy conditions.
