Local News African American Alliance for Homeownership’s 16th Annual Fair PHOTOS ON THIS PAGE BY JERRY FOSTER The event featured fun games and contests. Leonard Brightmon speaks to the crowd about the benefits he received from classes and counseling provided by AAAH. AAAH programs offer future homebuyers peer-to-peer support, on- going motivation and encouragement throughout the home buying process. Atendees were eager to sign up for the home tour. T he 16th Annual African Amer- ican Homeownership Fair was held Saturday, Oct. 25. The event was free and featured housing and finance counselors and credit experts to help attendees plan for home ownership. The event was provided by the African American Alliance for Homeownership (AAAH). For more information go to www.aaah.org. Participants wait to board the “Homes for Sale” bus. The tour was free to attend for 45 people and lunch was provided. Experts were on hand for personalized guidance and advice. AAAH board member Stephen Reichard and Executive Director Cheryl Roberts present a check as a reward for active participation. Nikki Brown Clown entertained the kids.
