Gloria attend- ed Mississippi Valley State University and later Portland State University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Counseling. Gloria touched many lives over the years while working at N/NE Mental Health Agency, Boys and Girls Aid Society, and Cascade Aids Project. She was a regular volun- teer at Boise Elliot Elementary School and a Board Member of Dress for Success. She also ran for Portland City Council with the slogan “Back to Basics.” Gloria Dean Harris will be remembered always by her beloved family and countless friends.
