Officers and coaches work with campers to develop specific sports skills and foster good sportsmanship. All youth ages 8-14, who live in the Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark County areas are eligible to participate, and a mini- mum of 51 percent of youth must qualify for free or reduced lunch program. Space is limited to 500 youth. PHOTO BY HELEN SILVIS paces are still available in the Portland Police Bureau’s 2nd annual Youth Summer Camp, June 16- 20, 2014. The camp will be held primarily at Centennial High School (3505 SE 182nd Avenue, Gresham, OR) and various archery and fishing locations. The camp is open to youth ages 8-14; spaces are available in most sports, including martial arts, boys and girls basketball, soc- cer, tennis, crazy science, journalism/photography, wrestling, baseball, boxing, bowling, volleyball, golf and football. The camp cost is $35 for the week and includes lunch and a T-shirt. The fee is $20 for those youth who participate in a free or reduced lunch program at their schools.
