Art Fair
A Benefit Concert for the Emergency
Feeding Program. Saturday, March 29,
6 P.M. Daniels Recital Hall, 5th and
Marion.
What has increased 52.10 percent in
just the last few years? It hasn’t been the
number of individuals who have found
jobs, or the percent of homeless who
successfully found housing. No. It’s the
staggering increase in the number of
local households who have requested
food assistance from the Emergency
Feeding Program of Seattle and King
County between 2007 and the begin-
ning of this year.
It hasn’t been easy for our neighbors,
school children, the underemployed,
disabled, home bound seniors, the
homeless and the recently immigrated
to keep afloat in our economy. And it
certainly hasn’t been easy for the
Emergency Feeding Program to feed
those who are in hunger crises, particu-
larly in the light of the many blows
thrown its way in form of increased
need, decreasing donations, and steadily
eroding governmental support. The
truth is we need your help.
That’s why we invite you to join us as
we celebrate our commitment to feed-
ing our neighbors in need while enjoy-
ing some of Seattle’s favorite musi-
cians. Local gospel standouts Pastor Pat
Wright and The Total Experience
Gospel Choir, the legendary Wheedle’s
Groove, The Eri-Am Sisters from
America’s Got Talent, Shanta Belt,
Josephine Howell and many more tal-
ented and concerned homegrown artists
will take the stage to perform in the
Seattle Talent Showcase: A Benefit for
the Emergency Feeding Program.
From inspiring gospel sounds, to
high-energy groove and soulful ballads,
the Seattle Talent Showcase is a time to
celebrate the very best of what Seattle
has to offer – both through our music
and our commitment to one another.

the gate. the event features indoor and outdoor
activities, camel rides as well as treats, photo
opportunities and a scavenger hunt and much

FrEAKY FAll FEStiVAl
Join us for this annual evening of treats and a
few tricks. Come in costume and enjoy carnival
style games, crafts, a jumpy toy and much more.

Kids ages 6 – 12 are invited to come in costume
and participate in the 8th annual Spooky Sprint.
A one-mile or two-mile fun run at maguson Park.
(South of the swim beach). A special tot sprint
ages 3-5 will kick-off the event. Cost is $15
