CLYDE WILLIS (SchulU photo) Willis-Borgaard Miss Sharon Ann Borgaard chose a wed ding gown of white lace and satin when she . was married April 6 to Clyde R. Willis in First Christian Church at Junction City. The Rev. Gilbert Knox officiated at the 8 p.m. ceremony. The bride Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Niels H. Borgaard of Junction City and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Willis of Rt 2, Harrlsburg. Miss Borgaard's gown was fashioned with a lace bodice and bell-shaped skirt with a brief train. Her veil was held by a crown of sequins and seed pearls and she carried ' a bouquet of white carnations and roses. Miss Nancy Borgaard was her sister's maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Gloria Dainard and Miss Evelyn Nelson. They wore street-length dresses of blue satin and carried white crysanthemums and blue- ' tinted carnations. David Orendorff was best man and ushers were Kenneth Crabb and Ferry Anglln. Le ; land Hull played the organ music and Miss Karln Skovbo was vocalist. A reception followed in Fellowship Hall of the church, where Mrs. Fred Borgaard, great aunt of the brldo, cut the cake. Mrs. Herman Borgaard, brido's aunt, served coffee and Miss Virginia Borgaard served punch. For their wedding to California tho bride -wore a white suit with blue accessories. The couple now is at home on River Road. 4 MRS. JERRY LUNDQUIST Lundquist- McMann Miss Joan Ruth McMann Chose a wedding gown of silk organza when she was married to Jerry .Lundquist April 6 in Bethany Pres byterian Church at Grandview, Wash. The ; Rev. Peter Hutton officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John McMann of Eugene, who traveled to Washington for the ceremony. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Lundquist of Carnation, Wash. Miss McMann's floor-length gown was appllqued at tho neckline and upon the skirt with Venise lace. Her veil of silk illusion was held by a crown of pearls and she car ried white roses and lily-of-the-valley. She also carried an heirloom lace handkerchief fif her grandmother's. Miss Carole Jean Mc Mann of Eugene was her sister's maid of honor and other attendants were Mrs. Fred llolloszy and Mrs. John Carson of Portland. All wore gowns of pink organza over taffeta with matching veiled hats and they carried nosegays of white roses, pink stock and lily-of-the-valley. Marian Sasaki of Grandview, flower girl, wore a white organza pinafore over a pink dress. Gregg E. Hals of Yakima was best man and ushers were Robert Brown of Richland, David Annonon of Olympia and Mike Jacobs of Seattle. A reception was held in the church par lor where aunts of the bride assisted with serving. Following a wedding trip to Canada the couple now is at home at 804 V4 Crescent Dr. in Grandview. Mr. Lundquist is a chem ist for General Electric at Richland. MR.. MRS. GARY LEE BURK Burk-Baker Miss Donna Louise Baker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Baker of Junction City, and Gary Lee Burk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Burk of Santa Clara, Calif., were married April 6 in First Methodist Church at San Jose, Calif. The Rev. Donald Getty officiated. The bride's family traveled south for the wedding. Miss Baker wore a bouffant gown of ny lon and lace with tiered skirt and brush train. She carried pink and white carnations and stephanotis and also carried a white lace handkerchief which her grandmother had carried at her wedding. Miss Janet Baker of Junction City was her sister's maid of hon or. Other attendants were Miss Lois Legan , of San Jose and Mrs. Robert Wilder of Grants Pass. They wore gowns of embroidered blue nylon and carried blue and white bouquets. Ronald Olson was best man and ushers were George Vieria, Ray Sheldon, Hart Rum bolz, James Hackborth, Richard Harrigan and Donald Dryng. Baskets of snapdragons, pink and white carnations and chrysanthemums decorated the altar. Mrs. Duane Allred was vocalist. At the reception which followed Mrs. Har rison P. Hornish of Springfield, aunt of the bride, served punch and Mrs. Ralph Deter ing of Harrisburg poured coffee. Mrs. How ard Whaley of Pleasant Hill, Calif., another aunt, served the cake. Following a wedding trip to Carmel the couple now is at home in San Jose, where Mrs. Burk Is teaching school. Mr. Burk is working for an advanced degree in Conser vation and Forestry at San Jose State Col lege. Among those traveling from a distance for the wedding was Mrs. Adele Burk of Ida Grove, Iowa. I - 111 1 j ) - - . (KenneU-EUta) MR., MRS. JOHN D. ESTOLA Estola-Morgan The marriage of Mrs. Marlys A. Morgan and John David Estola took place April 6 in United Lutheran Church in Eugene. The Rev. W. W. LaMunyon performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Toppila of Warrenton, and Mr. and Mrs. John Estola of Ironwood, Mich., are parent of the bridegroom. For the ceremony the bride wore a beige suit with beige and brown accessories and carried an orchid on a white Bible. Her neck lace and earrings were a gift from the groom. Mrs. Ruth Howlett of Eugene, matron of honor, wore light blue and carried a nose gay of pink and white flowers. Mrs. Phillip Livingston of Warrenton also attended her sister, wearing light pink. She carried a pink and white nosegay. DeWayne Howlett lighted the candles. Tony Bilecky was best man and Russell Hanson was the usher. Mrs. Mary Ann Me Faddcn was vocalist and Mrs. Dale Peterson played the organ music. Mrs. Richard Pershing of Warrenton, sis ter of the bride, cut the cake at the recep tion which followed. Mrs. Robert Reed of Warrenton poured coffee and Miss Judith Juntunen of Los Angeles served punch. Miss Alice Pictka presented the guest book. Following a wedding trip to the Mt. Hood area the couple now is at home in Eugene at 3900 Coburg Rd. Mrs. Estola is a secre tary for school Dist. 4 and Mr. Estola is a forester for the Bureau of Land Management. JAMES (LEROY) IRVIN Irvin-Hoyt The marriage of Miss Ruth Ellen Hoyt and James LeRoy Irvin took place March 30 in First Methodist Church at Auburn, Wash. Tho Rev. Don Glenn performed the cere mony before a background of white gladiolus and stock. Miss Hoyt is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mcrritt Hoyt of Auburn and the bridegroom Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Irvin of Springfield, who traveled to Auburn for the ceremony. Mr. Irvin li an Airman First Class, stationed at Larson Air Force Base near Moses Lake. The bride wore a full length gown of lace and tulle fashioned with a tiered skirt edged with sequin-trimmed lace. Her veil of illusion was held by a coronet of pearls and she car ried white orchids and stephanotis on a lace fan. Mrs. Lewis Thompson was her sister's matron of honor. Other attendants were Miss Kristine Winkler, Mrs. Larry Golderoy and Miss Susan Rutt. All wore sheath dresses of coral brocade and carried white carnations on pink fans. Patty Klannery was flower girl. James Gamble was best man and ushers were Lewis Thompson, Paul Brisson and Robert lioliworth. A reception was held in the church par lor. Assisting were Mrs. Robert lioliworth, Miss Diana Irvin and Miss Judy Irvin, sister of the bridegroom. The couple now is at horn at Moses Lake. Engagements Robinson-Knowlton Mr. and Mrs. Horace W. Robinson an nounce the engagement of their daughter, Pamela Gayle, to Gary Michael Knowlton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Knowlton. Both families are of Eugene. A late summer wedding is planned. Both Miss Rbblnson and her fiance are graduates of South Eugene High School, and both now are juniors at University of Ore gon. She is majoring in mathematics, he in general science. Kirk Martin of Pleasant Hill. A summer wedding is planned. Miss Wadnizak was graduated from South Eugene High School and now is attending Oregon State University. Mr. Martin, a grad uate of Pleasant Hill High School, is em ployed by a local electrical firm. (BttU photo) Couple Planning June Ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Gerald G. VanDcvender of Eugene an nounce the engagement of of their daughter. Judith Marie, to Paul Allan Hubbard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wedrl, also of Eugene. A June wedding is planned. Mis VanDevender is a senior at South Eugene High School. Mr. Hubbard was graduated from Willamette High School and Is employed by McKays Market. Rubenstein-Bruce Mr. and Mrs. Samuel I. Rubcnstcin of Eu gene announce the engagement of their , daughter, Joy, to Merle Francis Bruce, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bruce of Klamath Falls. The couple plans to be married in Portland in early June. Miss Rubenstein, a graduate of South Eu gene High School, is a senior at University of Oregon, where she has majored in ele mentary education. Her fiance, a graduate of the same high school and of University of Oregon, is a first-year medical student at University of Oregon Medical School in Portland. Richardson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy L. Davis, also of Maple ton. A fall wedding is planned. Miss Griffin was graduated from Maple ton High School in 1960. She attended Se attle Pacific College for a year, and has been employed in Seattle and Alaska. She now is employed at Mapleton. Mr. Richardson also attended Maplcton High School, completing his studies in the service. He served in the U. S. Armed Forces for five years as a helicopter mechanic. He also is employed at Mapleton. Dixon-McKinney Mr. and Mrs. Homer J. Dixon of Junction City announce the engagement of their daughter, Eleanor Jean, to S Sgt. Donald J. McKinney, U.S. Air Force. The wedding will take place June 8 at a home ceremony to be attended by members of the two families. Miss Dixon was graduated in I960 from University of Oregon where she was a mem ber of Delta Delta Delta. The couple met last year in Europe where Miss Dixon was working for the U.S. Air Force as a secretary-receptionist. S-Sgt McKinney. the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. McKinney of Clovis, N.M, is stationed at Wiesbaden, Germany, with the U.S. Air Force. (Flint photo) Johnson-Moursund Mr. and Mrs. Alan W. Johnson of Hous ton, Texas, announce the engagement of their daughter, Terril Logan, to Peter Doug las Moursund, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew F. Moursund of Eugene. Both Miss Johnson and Mr. Moursund are students at University of Oregon where she is a sophomore majoring in general social science and he a junior majoring in history. The couple has chosen Sept 14 for the wedding date. II Juge-Rummel Announcement is made of the engage ment and approaching marriage of Miss Shir ley Mae Juge, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James J. Juge of Petersburg, Va., to Rich ard Harris Rummcl, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Francis Rummel of Eugene. The wedding will take place May 25 in Petersburg, the bridegroom's mother to attend from Eugene. Miss Juge attended schools in Virginia and now is employed in secretarial work at Fort Lee, Va. Mr. Rummel attended schools in Eugene and now is serving in the Joint Communications Agency, U. S. Army, at Fort Ritchie, Maryland. July Wedding Date Named Mr. and Mrs. Elwood G. Olsen announce the engage ment of their daughter. Mary Bernice. to Verlin Donald Getchcll. son of Mr. and Mrs. Judson Getchell of Route 2, Creswcll. Miss Olsen is a student at Pleasant Hill High School. Mr. Getchell is associated with his father in the dairy business. The wedding will tai place July 7.
