VFW Auxiliary Sets Coffee Hour A coffee hour will he spon sored by Willamette Auxiliary 293, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Thursday at 10:30 a m. in the home of Mrs, Jess Barr, 1590 Hish St. Proceeds will go toward local cancer fund of the Auxiliary. An afternoon hobby workshop will he held for member. Beck, pictured now and at the time of their marriage in Ruthton, Minn., were honored at a reception marking their golden wed ding anniversary. Signing the guest book at the event were 165 friends and relatives of the Junction City couple. i Reception Given for Goldenwed Couple Mr. and Mrs. John A. Beck were honored at a reception in Faith Lutheran Church in Junc tion City on their 50th wedding anniversary. Miss Marie Mad sen and John A. Beck were mar ried in Ruthron, Minn., and have lived in Junction Citv since 1929. Hosts at the reception were the couple's children, assisted hy a committee from the church. Their entire family was present with the exception of one grand son, who is serving in the U. S. Navy. Their children are Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Beck, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Beck, Miss Pearl Beck, all of Junction City, Mrs. Rob ert (Alberta) Curtis of Clovis, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Nor man Beck of Springfield. They have 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Dcnise Smith f Clovis, Calif. Miss Pearl Beck poured cof fee; Mrs. Curtis and Mrs. Mar- Coloring Coats Color never had it so good as it does in spring coats. Women have their choice of pretty pastels, clear mid-brights and flattering dark tones. The white and off-white coat is a fashion favorite for spring. vin Beck cut the cake, assisted by Mrs. Hubert Beck and Mrs. Norman Beck. The couple's sons were hosts, assisted by grandsons Lee and Bob Beck. Miss Janelle Beck and Miss Mary Curtis presented the guest book and Miss Lynne Beck and Miss Judy Beck took care of gifts. Mrs. Lyle Smith served punch. All are granddaughters of the couple. The Bev. Arnold Knudsen of fered congratulations to the couple from the church, and the junior choir sang. One-hundred and sixty-five guests attended. Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. N. It. Madscn of Hec tor, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Carl Madsen of Albany (the men are Mrs. Beck's brothers), Mr. and Mrs. Ferrold Keily and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Hick Marcotte and son, ail of Albany.
