area.

standard, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. day
light time.
The ballot will contain names
of four candidates for the five
member board of directors that
will operate the district if one
is formed. Two spaces are left
for write-ins The four whose
names will appear are Mrs. D.
N. Unlhank. Francis Hummcll,
Don Dickerman and Ray Brad
shaw. The ballot will contain no
provision for a lax levy. Before
any levy could be imposed by
the district in the future voters
would have to approve it in a
separate election.
The question of forming a
district was brought to a head
by a committee of Bethel area
residents who circulated peti
tions asking for an election.
Board to Study
Curriculum Items
Changes in curriculum for
1962-63 will be discussed to
night at a meeting of the Bethel
School Board.
The meeting will begin at 6:30
p.m. standard, 7:30 p.m. day
light, in the School Administra
tion Building, 4640 Barger Ave.,
Eugene.
In other business, the board
will:
Hear a progress report on
Shasta Junior High School.
Hear a report concerning
a survey on preventing students
from dropping out of school.
Consider a number of per
sonnel matters.
Elect new board officers.
