has been selected for a Peace
Corps leaching assignment in
the Philippines.
Miss Baldwin, a 1960 Univer
sity of Oregon graduate, has
taught English in the Hillsboro
and Cottage Grove school sys
tems. She will be one of 50 univer
sity remedial English assistants
who will help Filipino college
freshmen improve the quality
of their English.
Twenty-five assistants will be
at the University of the Philip
pines, and the others will be
assigned to colleges on the is
lands of Panay, Negros and
Mindanao.
Miss Baldwin will begin train
ing June 15, either in Puerto
Rico or at an American university.
