Wedding Bells Have Part in Decorations
By ANN CONNELL
RflUter-Gtum Society Editor
Wedding bells were a signifi
cant part of decorations and de
tails of the wedding of Miss Con
nie Juneola Brehm to Frank C.
Duncan in Trinity Baptist Church
Friday evening, May 12. The
ceremony was performed by the
Rev. Buren Higdon, pastor, at
7:30 p.m. The bride is the daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry C.
Brehm of Springfield and the
bridegroom is the son of Mrs.
Marie Duncan of Eugene.
Bells were tied to pews of the
church. An arbor was arranged
on the platform as a setting for
the ceremony, its trellises dec
orated with evergreens, yellow
gladiolus and bells. Richard Ter
Willinger, soloist, sang "Because
of You," "Whither Thou Goest,"
and "Wedding Prayer." Miss
Carol Terwilliger was organist.
A cluster of frosted white wed
ding bells, encircled with yellow
rosebuds, centered the bride's
bouquet, which was a cascade of
yellow roses and white carna
tions. Miss Brehm was given in marri
age by her father. She wore a
floor-length gown of white dotted
nylon made with full butterfly
sleeves, a modified scoop neck
lino edged in narrow Venise lace,
and a full skirt in two tiers. Her
float-length veil of silk illusion
was attached to a circlet of pearl
ized orange-blossoms. She wore
also a heart pendant which was a
gift from the bridegroom.
Miss Nikki Niederer, maid of
honor, wore a bouffant dress of
mint greefljiylon, with matching
jacket which had large puffed
sleeves. She carried yellow car
nations, with tiny white bells tied
to their ribbons.
Similarly styled were the dress
es of the other bridal attendants,
Mrs. Denny Dennis and Miss
Joyce Laremore, but they were of
yellow nylon. Both carried bou
quets of mint green carnations,
also with miniature bells tied to
their streamers.
