6D Sunday, February 21, 1960 Oregon Mothers Silver Tea Invites to Richards Home University of Oregon Mothers Club. Eugene Unit, is sponsoring its annual Silver Tea Thursday at the home of Chancellor and Mrs, John Richards, 2237 Spring Blvd., from 2 to 4 p.m. Hostesses will be Mrs. Harold Lyons, Mrs. Robert D. Clark, Mrs. Leo Laurin, Mrs. H. L. Parmen Weavers Set Workshop at Monday Meet Eugene Weavers Guild will meet Monday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the home of Mrs. Norman Larsen, Traxler Rd. Mrs. Dawn McGee will be hostess. Sack luncheon will be served at noon and Mrs. Hubert Moor will pre sent the 1 p.m. program on threads. The yearbook will be assembled and distributed. Mrs. Harriet Tid- ball will lead a discussion of the March workshop. Mrs. Norman Larsen Is new president of the Guild. Other of ficers are Airs, j-ranic layior, vice president and program chair man; Mrs. Lee Barlow, secretary treasurer; Mrs. 0. B. Larson, pub licity. Mrs. Harvey Wheeler is chair man of the monthly display of members' weaving. Members are to turn in their weaving to Mrs. Wheeler on arrival at meetings, with facts on size of thread, draft, treadling and use of articles. The weaving will be displayed during the luncheon hour. Decorator Talks For Faculty Unit "Good Taste in Decorating Need Not Be Expensive" will be1 the subject of the program at a coffee meeting of Newcomers Group of Faculty Women's Club of University of Oregon Wednes day from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The meet ing will be in Kappa Alpha Thcta chapter house, 791 East 15th Ave. Mrs. Agnes Hansen, housemother, will pour following the program, which starts promptly at 2 p.m, Mrs. W. L. Gordon, chairman, has arranged for George L. Eliot, partner in House of Interiors, to be the speaker. Mr. Eliot, an in terior designer who has received recognition on both the east and west coasts, will have close evi dence of his work as he was the decorator for the Kappa Alpha Theta house. He received his training at Marshall Fields in Chicago and has been a resident of Eugene for six years. He will show material samples and will be prepared to answer questions. Spring flowers will be featured as decorations. Mrs. T. G. John son is co-chairman with Mrs. Gor don, and their committee includes Mrs. D. L. Cole, Mrs. M. B, Coley, Mrs. F. W. Muni, Mrs. R. E. Odch, Mrs. G. H. Strother, and Mrs. C. L. Adams. There will not be a nursery provided for this event. Physician to Talk Dr. Duncan B.
