IIIiAltS LETTER The society is a private, non profit, incorporated group of in terested citizens devoted to the proper care and disposition of animals in the county. Part of their expenses arc paid by the county and cities participating in the program. Mrs. Margaret Benston, 160J Polk St., read a letter tn the society Tuesday, complaining of what she termed "slipshod meth ods of disposing of animals; of the stench near the incinerator used for burning animals bodies;! for permitting large numbers of animals to he put into the same small gas chamber before being killed and for other practices. Sho also agreed, to donate her time toward improving conditions at the kennels. The Sieverts have two boys, Bill who is an engi neer for Boeing Aircraft of Seattle, and Richard who is a student at the University of Ore gon and is also employed by the Register-Guard as district manager in the circulation depart ment. Their daughter Donna is a student at Oregon State. Parmenter Pontiac is very pleased to have a family such as this as one of their customers, no.t only do Mr. and Mrs. Sieverts drive Pontiac but son Bill bought a- new 1954 model froni Parmenters last year and son Richard recently took delivery of a new 1955 Pontiac Station Wagon which he uses every da'y in his work. During the past 15 years this family has established an enviable record as good citi zens of this community and state.
