Womack, 1743 West 8th Ave., Eugene. A student of Eugene High School prior to his enlist ment, Womack entered service at Portland, on Nov. 4, 1954. PFC EDWARD P. BOSS HARDT, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bosshardt, 3436 Stoney Blvd., Eugene, was promoted to that rank along with three other men of his recruit platoon at the Marine Corps Recruit De pot, San Diego, Calif., on Dec. 16, 1954. Bosshardt Keeler ' ' SN MERVIN L. KEELER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Keeler, Route 1, Junction City, is serving aboard the USS LST 1101 which is based at Sasebo, Japan. A student at Elmira High School, Keeler enlisted in the Navy, Jan. 18, 1954. at Eu gene. His wife, the former Doris Grady of Junction City, lives in Winchester, 111. CPL. JAMES A. FORCIA, son of Mrand Mrs. Angus F. For cia, Not, is expected home on rotation from hi assignment with the 9th Field Artillery, 3rd Division, in Korea. Forcia was a telephone operator and assistant lineman. PFC. RALPH E. SLAYTER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Slayter, Blachly, is serving as a truck driver with Headquar ters and Service Company, 3rd Service Regiment, at Camp . Gifu, Japan. Slayter was grad uated from Triangle Lake High School and employed by the Hult Lumber Co. of Horton be fore entering the service in January, 1954.
