Murphy showed two films, one
on child shyness, which he said
can be serious enough to require
expert psychiatric diagnosis and
treatment, and one entitled
"Children Limited," made in
Washington state institutions for
the mentally deficient.
Dr. Lloyd Gillette, director of
special education for Eugene

the program includes pilot class-
now being conducted as an
experiment in Springfield, the
Pearl Buck School for Retarded

Juvenile Home, each serving a
different segment of children.
Gillette said the lack of funds
for salaries and facilities and
the need for teachers with spe

problems in these special pro
grams.
A third session dealing with
mental health problems is scheo

Springfield Memorial Bldg.,
