mittee will be given and action
taken loward the purchase of a
miniature X-ray by the association.
Mrs. Riedman, OTHA Case-
finding director, will meet with
the X-ray committee in the after
noon to assist with the comple
tion ol plans for the purchase of
the X-ray. the report to bo pre
sented to the board at the even
ing meeting. The committee
members arc Mrs. Hugh Tim
mons, chairman, Otto Lydy, and
George Nelson. Mrs. Stewart
Carlson, president, also will meet
with the committee. Representa
tives from Benton, Douglas and
Linn County Tuberculosis and
Health Assns, have been invited

director, will review the 1953
Seal Sale campaign with the of
fice staff in the afternoon and
advise with them regarding the
coming 1951 Seal Sale campaign.

Sale campaign by Ernest Keas
ling, County Seal Sale chairman,
and the appointment of a nom
inating committee by the presi
dent, Mrs. Carlson.

sociation for the Help of Retard
cd Children will meet Monday at
8 p.m. in the Wheeler Room of
First Congregational Church. Mrs.
II. H. Waechter, director of the
Pearl Buck School, will lead a
forum on the subject. "The Re
tarded Child and His Family:
Help for Both."
Help from many others is need
ed to assist all retarded children
and their families, it is stated,
and anyone interested is invited
to attend the meeting.
The association, a non-profit or
ganization incorporated in Ore
gon, was formed by parents,
teachers and interested individu
als of the Eugene area. The pur
pose is declared to provide ade
quate education for retarded chil
dren and guidance for their par-
cuts; to inform the public of the
extent and nature nf this prob
lem and its remedies, ana to
work for realistic legislation.
