Duster Kay, cocker bitch own ed by Mrs. R. L. McElroy, 77 Pa cific Highway South, Junction City, whelped the litter of per fectly matched pups. The pups are identical, and, ac cording to W. M. Swangard, Eu gene veterinary, are "quite rare." Duster Kay is a 3-year-old buff cocker. The sire was also a silver cocker. Swangard said that it isn't un usual to fine one silver in a lit ter, but seven at once is quite rare. Pomona Grange at their re cent session requested granges to take this action. A "lecturer's school" was an nounced for February at Corval lis. Mrs. J. C. Birdsong will at tend. The committee on use of the hall recommends that the con tributions received from organiza tions for using the facilities be placed in a separate fund for the maintenance and janitor expenses. Use of the hall was granted to the Creswell Consolidated Telephone company for their meeting Jan. 28. The annual report states that total membership is 205. Nine new members were added in 1951. C. C. Holloman, C. I. Kent, and Mrs. H. N. Traxler were appointed to represent the grange on the community fair board. Jasper Grange will visit Cres well Feb. 14. Clarence Jackson s presented with his past master's-pin. He served as master for three consecutive years. Committee for the Jan. 24 meet ing: Mr. and Mrs. James Morri son; Mr. and Mrs. Carlisle Scar borough, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Hol loman, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gardner. The excutive committee, Mrs. Karl Duyck, Mrs. V. E. Grousbeck, Mrs. E. L. Reynolds and Mrs. Everett Beneda, will be hostesses at Home Economics Club, Tues- day afternoon, Jan. 15. Mrs. Oscar Shelter is in charge of the pro gram. Albert Lake, Mr. and Mrs. M. O. Bishop and Mr. and Mrs. John B. Fox. Members are to bring either cake or pie. At the next meeting, Jan. 18, there will be a display table and members are asked to bring any thing they have to sell in the way of canned goods, fancy work, ap rons, etc. The grange will receive 10 of the sale and the individual will receive the balance. Tentative plans are being made for a oublic ham dinner to be given the evening of Valentine's Day, Feb. 14. Prices will be 35c for pre-school children, 85c for those between the ages of six and twelve, and $1.25 for adults. An evening of cards and dancing will follow with canasta and pinochle being played at 25c per table (for the entire evening). There will be high and low prizes for both men and women. Proceeds will go to ward kitchen improvement. Frank Deedon, chairman of the building committee, announced at the recent meeting that a worK day will be called soon to put shingles on the outside of the kit chen and dining room. Men are asked to watch for the announce ment and to turn out and help. At the next meeting, a team of folk dancers from Oregon College of Education will put on an exhib ition of dancing. On Jan. 29, 8 p.m. in the grange hall, the Eugene Farmers' Cream ery will present a program and serve refreshments. The public Is invited, FOUR OAKS .Grange Home Economics Club meets at Mrs John Griener's, 3110 Eighteenth Avenue West, Jan. 16, at 1:30 p.m. Plans for the year's work will be outlined.
