She was a resident of Evereet, Wash. She was born June 9, 1874 in Otto, Iowa, and married C. H. McKay in Meadow Grove, Neb. They came to Creswell in 1900. He preceded her in death. She married Sam Cunningham May 21, 1942, and they moved to Port land. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church and Royal Neighbors. Surviving are her widower; a son, Everett McKay, Bend; a daughter. Fern Close, Rogue River; four sisters, Mrs. Leona Lamb, Creswell, Mrs. Nellie Bush, Creswell, Mrs. Leto Helm, Ever ett, Wash., Mrs. Bessa Smith, Eu gene; a brother, Roy Fish, Cres well. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tues day at the Creswell Methodist Church, with the Rev. Hawthorne officiating. Interment will be in Creswell Cemetery, with Schwer ing England Mortuary taking charge. Walter L. Fry Walter L. Fry, 2450 Wood St., Eugene, Southern Pacific brake man, died Saturday at Mapleton in an accident. He was 29 years old, and lived in Eugene the past four years. He was a member of Brotherhood of Railway Train' men Local 314. He married Vir ginia A. Fry in Vancouver, Wash, Besides his widow he is surviv ed by a step-daughter, Lola Bessey, Eugene; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Fry, Bakersfield, Calif.; a brother, James, of Bak ersfield; a sister, Mrs. D. J. Glantz, Coalinga, Calif.; two uncles, Pete and Rueben Fry, River Road. Eugene; an aunt, Mrs. Willia n Short, Eugene; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at Simon Lounsbury Mortuary Tuesday at 2 D.m., with the Rev. Wesley G. Nicholson officiating. Ben Benson Ben Benson, 38, Swisshome, died Aug. 27 at Sutherlin. His death was the result of a logging accident. He was born at Maple ton July 22, 1911, and lived his en tire life in western Lane County. He married Alice Rose June 2, 1938 at Vancouver-, Wash. Besides his wife he surivevd by two sons, Ronald A. and Richard L., both of Swisshome; his mother, Mar tha Bensen, Mapleton; a brother, Delmer Benson, Mapleton, and a sister, Helene Hoseapple, Reeds port. Services will be at Assembly of God Church at Florence Tuesday at 2 p.m., with interment in Flor ence Masonic Cemetery. Poole Larsen Mortuary will have charge. Mary B. Wiles Mary B. Wiles, 1734 Villard St., died Thursday at her home at the age of 80. She was born May 1, 1869 at Plainview, Ore., and at tended Albany College in the late 1800's. She taught school in Linn County before marrying Walter Thompson Wiles in 1890 at Plain view. They moved to Eugene in 1917. Mr. Wiles preceded her in death. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Eugene. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Cannon, LaGrande; three sisters, Mrs. B. Whealdon, Payette, Idaho, Mrs. Guy Blancher, Ta coma, Wash., and Mrs. Elza Mor gan, Shedd; a grandson, Ted Can non. Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m., at Veatch Hollingsworth England Mortuary.
