Women of Moose Announce Events for Comng Week Women of the Moose will have their semi-monthly card party at Moose Hall Monday afternoon. Pinochle and bridge will be LutHeron Circles To Meet Thursday Afternoon Circle of the Wom en's Missionary Society of Cen tral Lutheran Church will meet at the home of Mrs. George Chal berg. 1085 Cal Young Road. Thursday afternoon at two o'clock. Mrs. Lloyd Eppenbeugh is to be the co-hostess. A mission lesson will be presented. Transportation from the church to the Chalberg home will be furnished for those who wish it. The Graduate Regents, committee chairmen and officers' escorts are asked to be there for this initiation drill practice. ( ) ( ) Luke, at Ancon, Panama Canal Zone, was the setting June 4, for the marriage of Miss Agnes Ruth Berge,. daughter of Mrs. Martin Berge of Eugene, to Wil liam Rechsteiner of Puerto Ar muelles, Panama. The service, accompanied by organ music including the tra ditional wedding march, was read before the candle-lighted altar at nine o'clock in the morning by Bishop R. Heber Gooden, assisted by Pastor Mil ton R. Cookson. It was a double ring ceremony. The bride wore a white linen suit with blouse of Chinese hand embroidery, and wore a corsage of pink carnations, She was giv en in marriage by her sister's brother-in-law, Conrad G. Doer ing, USN, and attended by Mrs. Willa Mae Doering. Her sister, Mrs. Doering, was attired in a beige gabardine suit, her cor sage of red roses. John Clennett was best man. Following the ceremony, there was a wedding dinner at the An con Club. The bride was graduated from Montana State Teachers College at Billings, Mont., and attended universities at Seattle and Eu gene. She taught school in three states, and has been employed the past two years by the Unit ed Fruit Co. at Puerto Armuel les, Panama, as a teacher. The couple left June S on a wedding trip to Europe aboard the . English steamer, Corrales. They will spend most of the summer at the bridegroom's childhood home in Switzerland, visiting with his family. They will make their home in Puerto Armuellej. Miss Gladys Chase To Tell of Japanese For Methodist Group Women's Society of Christian Service of First Methodist Church will hold its general meeting Tuesday afternoon, at one-fifteen o'clock. The marriage ceremony was performed in front of an altar decorated with pink and white gladiolus and candelabra, the white flowers in tall baskets and the pink gladiolus in a low massed bouquet on the altar. Ray Bednaschek sang "I Love You Truly" and "Because" and Miss Mary Grubbs presided at the organ. The bride wore a white gab ardine suit with white hat and her flowers were a bouquet of Esther Reade daisies, centered with a pink rosebud corsage used later for a corsage, and tied with white satin ribbon and streamers. An ornament which she wore was a small brooch which had been her great grandmother's. Mr. Peterson gave his daughter in marriage. Miss Frances Dorsey of Flor ence was maid of honor. She wore a pale pink crepe suit and carried a bouquet of white sweet peas and pale blue delphiniums tied with white net. The best man was John Cos tello and the ushers were Robert Peterson and Edward Morrison. Mrs. Peterson wore a navy blue dress with white accessor ies and corsage of pink sweet peas and the bridegroom's moth er was in a dress of pale lav ender with black accessories and corsage of white sweet peas. The reception was in the Wheeler Room of the church with the bride's table being dec orated with pink sweet peas and tall candles. Mrs. Benny Bartel cut the cake assisted by Mrs. William Callaway and Mrs. Carl Saylor poured punch. All are cousins of the bridegroom. Mrs. Robert Timm, sister of the bride, presided at the guest book and Misses Shirley Gadsen and Lila Hoffman assisted about the room. For traveling to the coast for their wedding trip the bride wore a blue and white dress maker suit of linen and the cor sage from her wedding bouquet. They will live at Florence. From this experience she became in timately acquainted with Japan ese life and customs. Devotions for the meeting will be led by Mrs. Blrdola Germain. Following the talk by Miss Chase, tea will be served in the church parlor. In conjunction with the tea a special exhibit of Japanese art will be displayed. Board of Home Elects Directors The board of the Alice Marie Baby Home, at its annual meet ing recently held at the home, elected Mrs. George Horn and Mrs. E. A. Denton as new trus tees, and re-elected all officers and other directors. Officers of the board are Gor don Olson, chairman; M. F. Mes man, vice chairman; Mrs. V. L. Currey, recording and corre sponding secretary; Mrs. M. F. Mesman, treasurer; Mrs. J. Prosser Stewart, publicity; Miss Myrtle Borbe, superintendent Others on the board are Mrs. Frederick K. Davis, Mrs. R. P. Sutton, Mrs. J. Ernest Brunton, Mrs. Clifford Abrams, Harold Olson, H. V. Johnson and Les ter Beals. Miss Borbe reported that com munity Interest in the home has been excellent in the past year. At Christmas time, food to an estimated amount of $354.(0 was received as gifts. There also were 250 Christmas cards, and Miss Borbe sent replies to more than half of that number. Con tributions have helped much to support the home. There still is real need of a garage to house the car used to transport the chil dren to church and school, but lumber for this may bo donated, the said. Mrs. Stewart displayed a scrapbook she has kept since she went on the board, which was found of Interest and value. COTTAGE GROVE Miss Sara Bjorset, bride-elect of Lynn A. Hamilton of Eugene, was hon ored guest at a miscellaneous shower Saturday evening when Mrs. Herbert W. Lombrrd and her daughter, Marie, entertained a group of friends. The couple will be married August 21 in a late afternoon garden ceremony at the home of the bride s mother, Mrs. Georg Bjorset. Dessert refreshments were served to the guests on lovely old Danish Royal Copenhagen china of the hostesses. Napkins also were in matching blue and white Royal Copenhagen pattern and had come from Denmark. Garden flowers were used in bouquets for the room decora tions. Those present were: Mrs. W. R.
