Western Oregon Lambs In western Oregon, where moat of the early spring lambs are pro duced, weather conditions during the first two months of the year; were very unfavorable. Snow covering and freezing tempera tures shut off the usual winter grazing. Much supplemental feeding was necessary to minimize losses to both ewes and lambs. Due to lack of green feed, and cold weather, lambs have not progressed as well as usual, farmers report. However, since late February mild weather has prevailed and with a normal spring season lambs are expected to make rapid development. Marketings may oc cur at nearly the usual time, the last of April, although the pro- rtnrtinn nf foHr hmhc u'dl K 'higher than usual.
