All wore similar gowns of aqua
satin, with matching headbands
of satin and rosebuds, 'and
carried arm bouquets of tulips.
Mrs. Oberg, the bride's moth
er, wore a grey suit with black
accessories and a corsage of red
roses and a baby orchid.
Kenneth Nugent acted as best
man and Thomas Nugent as
usher. Both are brothers of the
bridegroom. Kenneth XNeni, a
brother-in-law of the bride
groom, was an usher. The bride
was given in marriage by her
father.
Two large baskets of snap
dragons were used with candel
abra In decoration. "Ave Maria"
and "Panis Angelicus" were sung
by Dale Cooley, with Mrs.
Cooley at the organ.
A reception was held In the
Mirror Room of Eugene Hotel.
Mrs. Lawrence Magnuson and
Mrs. Lee McCune cut the cake.
Miss Betty Luckey of Portland
poured. Mrs. Dan Bloom and
Mrs. Clair Lindsley assisted. The
guest book was handled by Mrs.
Kenneth Nehi, a sister of the
bridegroom. Miss Laura Lee Mc
Cune had charge of the gifts.
Mr. and Mrs. Nugent -went on
wedding trip to British Colum
bia, she wearing a dress of slate
blue satin with salmon pink coat
and her wedding orchid. They
will live in Portland.

Golfing Season
Wednesday at Club
A two-ball greensome has been
arranged by the Women's Com
mittee of Eugene Country Club
for opening day of the golfing
season Wednesday. The execu
tive board will meet at eleven
o'clock in the morning followed
by a general meeting for the en
tire group at twelve o'clock. This
also will be the first business
meeting of the year.
More than one hundred wo
men turned out for Ladies Day
at the club Inst Wednesday, most
of them spending the afternoon
at cards. A few braved the
weather to play golf during the
afternoon. Prizes at cards went
to Mrs. L. S. Axland and Mrs. S.

Miss Nancy Carlisle, whose

of Portland has been announced
as March 19, has been honored
at two gift showers recently.
The first was February 11 at
the home of Mrs. Virgil A. Par
ker Jr., with Mrs. Parker and
her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Vir
gil A. Parker III, the hostesses.
Mrs. Kenneth L. Carlisle, mother

son of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Schulz, formerly of Wleabaden, Ger
many. Their marriage is planned for late spring.
Miss Whalley is a graduate ot St. Mary's High School, and'
attended the University of Oregon, where she studied voice and
piano. Mr, Rogan is a professional musician. He came to Eugene
about seven months ago to join his mother here. He had his owm
band In Europe, and played in a number of American clubs abroad.
