A voice vote carried on a mo tion to send a telegram to The Democratic leaders meeting Thurs day in Philadelphia to draft the party platform. Delegates t othe convention here also agreed to send separate tele grams to the central committee members of every state. The motion was placed before the conventipn by Judge Sarah T. Hughes, Dallas. Westrope, 1363 Oak St. died Thursday at her home at the age of 94. She was born March 5, 1854 in Pike County, 111.,' and cros sed the plains with her parents, Mathilda and Jonathan Toll, in 1863. They settled in California, and she married Winfield S. Wes trope April 2, 1873 in Chico, Calif. I They came to Oregon and settled near Eugene in 1882. Her husband died June 28, 1923. Surviving are two sons, alter S. and Earnest L.; one daughter, Net tie M. Lyons; a sister, Nellie Win ters; three brothers, N. B., L. P. and George Toll; nine grandchil dren; 14 great -grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, all in Eugene.
