(U.R) To mil lions of Americans it seems only yesterday that she was "Sistie" Dall, darling of the White House, but the granddaughter of the late President Franklin D. Roosevelt was scheduled to be married Wednesday. She will wed Van H. Seagraves, 25, Portland, Ore. Among those here for the ceremony was Mrs. Anna Eleanor Roosevelt, widow of the President. The bride, like her own mother, Mrs. John Boet tiger, was named for Mrs. Roose velt, although few know the President's widow as other than Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt. "Buzzy" On Hand Present also was Curtis (Buzz) Dall Boettiger, brother of the bride and the "Buzzy" of their childhood days in the White House from 1933 to 1935. The 20-year-pld bride met Sea- graves, son of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Seagraves, Oregon City, while both were attending Reed College, Portland, The campus romance culminated in their engagement as Seagraves was graduated and 'Sistie" finished her junior year. The couple will live in Port land, where Seagraves will work for a packing company as a salesman. Republican Seagraves, who comes from Republican parents and himselfis a registered Republican, was a lieutenant (jg) in the naval re serve during the war. The bride's step-father returned to this country last week from a tour of Europe to gather material ror a series of articles and "may be a book." He flew here for the wedding at the Boettiger home. The ceremony was to be per formed by Rev. Morton T. Kelsey of Trinity Episcopal Church. Wednesday Joined 850 other dele gates in Portland for the twelfth annual meeting of the National Assn. of Sanitarians, representing 48 states and Hawaii. The three-day conference will be held as flood waters recede from Portland's fringes, and the nation's public sanitarians are ex pected to find ample opportunity to see the latest sanitary methods in large scale operation. Another made the area from Ash St. south to Main St. from the railroad west to within 120 feet of Pine St. heavy industrial to con form with present conditions. The third change made the area from Nineteenth to Twenty-third St. between South A St. and the alley to the south light industrial. This would allow maintenance of about 28 residences which are now located there. The planners refused a request to change frontage on the south side of Main St. between Twenty- third St. from Commercial to cen tral business because they believ ed it would ccreate greater traffic and pedestrian hazards. Under the proposed plan, the new part of the city would be zoned essentially as follows: 1 Light industrial on the south side of Main St. to the depth of about one block from the old city limits east to Emery Road. Z Central business on the north side of Main St. from Twentieth to Twenty-third Sts. extending In depth to Walnut St. 3 Commercial district between Main St. and Walnut St. from Twenty-third St. to Emery Road. 4 Heavy industrial from the light industrial district south of Main St. to the southern city limits and also east of the Wendling branch of the S. P. 5 Single family residential from "Walnut St. north to the city limits. Weekend Accidents Reported Total 26 Sheriff c. A, Swarts announ ced Wednesday that 28 accident reports had been filed In his office for the period from last Friday through Tuesday. . Most of the long weekend's ac cidents were fender scrapes that did not involve personal injury or lage scale property damae, Sher iff Swarts reported. None of the accidents involved fatal injuries. The sheriff pointed out that all accidents happening in ' Lane County but not in the' corporate limits of a city, must be reported in his office. Out-of-state drivers are included in the law. Sheriff Swarts added, and insurance companies will not process claims unless the accident reports have been filed. Drivers are also required to notify their insurance company immediately in case of an acci dent, so that statements of finan cial responsibility can be fur nished to the proper authorities. Dexter Boy Missing Since Last Sunday Paul LeRoy Smith, .15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl C. Smith, Dex ter, has been missing from his home since 11 a.m. Sunday His parents reported to state police that he left Sunday morn' ing to attend a baseball game in Eugene and that some of his clothes were gone. . The boy is five feet, 11 inches tall, with hazel eyes, light brown hair. He was wearing overalls, a light green sports shirt, brown shoes and a, red and black coat, when last seen.
