Goldberg Writes Children's Book Recipes Rube Goldberg, recipient of this year's Pulitzer Prize for the best editorial cartoon, has writ' ten a book of songs and penned full page drawings for children in new book "Music In the Zoo." published by Mills Music, Inc. of New York. Sub-titled a "Sing, play and color book," the cartoons are in black and white so that children may color them. Seventeen attended the shower at the Civic Club rooms Thursday evening for Mrs. Roberta Sawyers Maupin, a recent bride. Place milk and ehornlat. in . bowl that may be set loosely in your cooKer. (Any bowl that is the proper size may be use: th equalized heat of the pressure cooker will not break even glass or china.) Mix Cover bowl with foil wrapping or double thickness of wax paper, securely tied. Place bowl on , ack with water in cook er. Place cover on conker and heat until steam flows from vent pipe to release all air from cook er. Place indicator weight on vent pipe ana cook 9 minutes with stem at COOK position, or 15 pounds pressure. Cool cooker at once, and remove bowl. Stir mix ture just until chocolate is evenly blended. Stir in nut meats. Turn into a cool bowl and let stand without beating until fudge is cold. Drop by teaspoonful on wax paper or pour in buttered pan. Cut In squares when firm. It does not require refrigeration to harden. Lamb and Eggplant Casserole (Serve 4) One and one-half pounds breast of lamb, 2 tablespoons drippings or olive oil or bacon fat, 13 cup chopped onion, 1 small eggplant (about 2 cups, diced), 1 table spoon chopped parsley, 1 teaspoon salt, 14 teaspoons paprika, 1 cup canned tomato pulp, l cup crumbs. Bone and trim lamb and brown lean meat in drippings with chopped onion. Pare eggplant; cut in cubes and combine with other ineredients. Place mixture in a greased casserole. Bake, cov ered, in a moderate oven (350 de grees F.) for about 45 minutes. Remove cover, sprinkle with bread crumbs and brown 20 minutes. JUNCTION CITY PAIR WEJD AT JULY 4 RITES A Junction City couple, Miss Alta Watts and Larry Fager- land, were married Sunday .July 4. The wedding trip was taken to California. Piquant Baked Fish 1 pound of fish steaka Salt and pepper 1 tablespoon chopped onion 1 tablespoon chopped picme 1 tablespoon chopped parsley 2 tablesoons French dressing Salt and epper fish; place on well-greased aheet. Cook 15 minutes in a moderate oven (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Combine other ingredients and; spread over the fish. Continue baking flakes easily when tested with a fork. Potatoes and cole slaw are sug gested as accompanying dishes, to contrast with the highly-flavor ed fish dish.
