Prowler Escapes Irate Property Owner's Ire A bald-headed prowler, about feet 7 inches tall, with buck teeth and glasses narrowly es caped the wrath of a gun-yielding property owner Sunday about 3:30 a.m. Tom Badgett, 1717 Ferry St., told police officers that he no ticed the man attempting to en ter a neighbor's home and then prowling around his own auto mobile. Badgett said he stepped out side and challenged the intrud er. He got a good look at the man, Badgett added, before the fellow took to his heels. Badgett gave chase and fired one shot at the prowler. Then his gun jammed. Knights of Pythias Set Annual Picnic Helmet Lodge 33, Knights of Pythias, met Monday for a busi ness session followed by a pro gram at KP Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Loran Coverdell played musical numbers on the saxaphone and piano and Tony Overgaard talked on the return trip he and his wife made to Denmark. An ice cream and strawberry supper followed the program. The annual picnic of the Knights of Pythias will be Sun day, July 11 at Shady Nook on Fall Creek.
