Violin Lessons Elementary students wishina to take beginning violin lessons may do so under the tutelage of Mrs.' Winifred Young, the regular grade , school instrumental teacher. The school district provides the housing for summer school ses sions, but the program itself must be self-supporting. For that rea son senior high school students will be required to pay $20 for the six-weeks term. Elementary and junior high students will pay $15. ..ii.WI. .MMlHU.n I I.IU1UIIIHH II Beef Tour Planned In Eugene Region Monday will be Upper Willam ette Valley Day in the Pacific Northwest Beef Cattle Tour ivhlch left Weed, Calif., on Sun day morning. The annual tour, sponsored by Western Livestock Journal, is designed to promote better beef and to study different pasture conditions. At 9:30 a. m., Monday, the group will visit Springfield and the farms of Chester Chase, Eugene Chase, and 3. LeRoy Chase. Fol lowing lunch In Springfield, the tour schedule is Sid Pruitt'a herd, Rt. 2, Eugene, at 1:30 p.m.; Mc Kemie Hereford Ranch, Coburg, at 2 p.m., and Walter Hubbard, Junction City, at 4:15 p.m. The farm of Dick Ward In Hal sey will be inspected at 5:30 p. m.. and the last stop of the day will be made at Prank Cochran's place in Brownsville at 6:30 p.m. The group will stop overnight at the Benton Hotel in CorvalUs. All Lane County residents in terested in the tour are invited to attend any or all of the planned Inspections.
