Delegates wiped out the policy with a 148-102 vote Thursday to make only individual records of candidates known to union mem bers, without recommendation. They also protested government expenditures on vocational schools, passing a. resolution that declared "implicit belief in the superiority of apprenticeship training over the so-called voca tional education available in in dustrial schools." This was passed only over op position of Klamah Falls dele gates who said the resolution was "nothing but a dirty slap at the Klamath Falls vocational school project." They contended the schooling could benefit persons greatly. The convention also defeated a proposal to increase the per capi ta tax to finance education and public relations programs, andj decided not to attempt to distrib-' ute labor publications generally in high schools.
