The guest speaker will be Dr. Eleanor Gutman of Coos Bay, from the Veterans Administra tion, who will address the group on the subject: "Women Veter ans Affairs." The import of the nominating committee will be heard, and nominations will be received from the floor. Elections will be held In May. Refreshment committee is Mrs. Leora McMurphey and Mrs. E. B Kingman. The executive board will meet Tuesday at noon, at the Del Rey ' Cafe. Whiteaker P-TA To Have Election Whiteaker P-TA wiU meet and hold election of officers at the schoolhouse, Wednesday af ternoon at two-thirty o'clock. Mrs. Genevieve Turnipseed, guest speaker, will talk on "Family Relations." An open discussion will follow. Mothers of the first grade children will be hostesses, with Mrs. Sterling Shaffer and Mrs. Sidney Peder son in charge. A capable woman will be in charge of a nursery for pre school children. Assistant host esses will be Mrs. Fred Purdy and Mrs. Charles Stephens. Morcola Girl Weds At Oakland Chapel Miss June Pope, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Pope of Mar cola, was married to John Char les Shafer, son of Mr. aijd Mrs. Guy Shafer of Springfield, in the chapel at the Oak Knell Naval Hospital near Oakland, Calif., March 22, at two o'clock. Navy Chaplain E. D. Sneary of ficiated. The bride was dressed in a blue suit with a small white hat and white gloves. Her shoes, purse and veil were brown, and she wore a corsage of white car nations. Mrs. Walter Black, sis ter of the bridegroom was ma tron of honor, wearing a gold suit with brown accessories and corsage of white carnations. The bride was given away by her father. Walter Black served as best man. The chapel was prettily decor ated with candelabra and baskets of pink and -white snapdragons, and large ferns. Special organ music was provided by the chap el organist. Prior to the bride's departure from her parent's home a recep tion was given her by relatives and friends. Her aunt, Mrs. F. A. Hoskins, of San Pablo, Calif, helped serve.. The young couple Is now liv ing at Brookaide Trailer Court, 8519 McArthur Boulevard, Oak land 5, Calif. MISSIONARY GROUPS LIST MEETINGS ..Women's General Missionary Society of First Christian Church will meet Tuesday afternoon in the church dining room for a covered dish luncheon at twelve thirty o'clock. The James Mc Callum Family group (number two) is in charge of the meeting. Mrs. Elmer Boyer, recently re turned missionary from Africa, will be guest speaker. ' Miss Lillian Brcckman of Gnl die Wells group (number one) is in charge of the luncheon. Groups one and two are to bring a meat dish; numbers four and five, vegetable or salad; numbers three and seven, des sert; and number six, coffee, rolls and butter. Edna Gish group (number five) will meet at the home of Mrs. Russell Hand Thursday after noon at twelve-thirty o'clock for a potluck luncheon.
