Powers, su perintendent, in charge of general arrangements; Mrs. Ruby Goddard and girls of the home economics class; to the women who prepared the turkeys for roasting: Mrs. Cecil Beyerlin, Mrs. B. K. Journey, Mrs. W. E. Mills and Mrs. John West; to Bob Staines who carved; also to the women who assisted the school cooks, headed by Mrs. Louella RIcWds, .with the cooking and serving of the banquet: Mrs. Earl Friedly, Mrs. Lester Rodebaugh and Miss Pauline Cowley. Dayton Thomson, president of the Assn. acted as toastmaster at the banquet, and expressed his pride in the team for their good sportsmanship and clean playing in all of their games this year. Clarence Belknap, vice-president also commended the players on their good sportsmanship and toldj them that the Association felt that ! it was a privilege' and an honor to be permitted to sponsor the ban quet. The girls volley ball team won the Lane County Champion ship this year. Miss Puttman, coach, was presented with a gift by Captain Joann Lilja. Earl Vos- sen, coach of the boys basketball team, was presented with a gut by Captain Allan Powers. Musical numbers were present Iverson Body Found On Newport Beach The body of Kenneth Reginald Iverson, 19, of Eugene, who was drowned Feb. 23 In Sluslaw Bay, was recovered Wednesday near Newport and brought to Eugene. Previously found was the body of his father, Reginald Iverson, who drowned in the same boating acci dent, and as yet unrecovered is the body of Kenneth Jacobsen, 20, Eugene, who accompanied the two on the tragic outing. Committal services were held Thursday at Rest Haven Memorial Park, with Simon Mortuary in charge. Young Iverson was born June 18, 1927 at Fresno, Calif,, and came to Eugene in 1937. He enlisted in the Navy in 1945, and was dls; charged in January, 1946, Besides his mother, Mrs. Karen Iverson, he is survived by his grandfather, Garfield Iverson, ed by Allan Powers, clarinet solo, and scot Thomson and Bob Wil son, saxophone solos, accompanied by Mrs. T. R. Powers; Mr. Parker of Eugene, gave a juggling act, and Mr. and Mrs. Hamblen of McKen' zie Bridge showed card tricks. Recetn arrivals are Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Nagel, of Los Angeles, who purchased one of the former Klob and Berry houses on Indian Creek, from Mr. and Mrs. Dayton Thomson. They plan extensive im provements for their new home. Next door neighbors of Mr. and Mrs. Nagel, also from Los Angeles, are Mr. and Mrs. Quisenberry, who purchased their home from Mr. and Fred Harris, which also was a part of the former Kolb and Berry estate. The Quisenberry' are making improvements to their new home. . Point Arena, Calif., and his grand' mother, Daisy Iverson, Oakland, Calif. Mothers to Give Dinner For Boy Scouts, Parents The mothers of Scout Troop 101 at Roosevelt Junior High School announced Thursday they will sponsor a dinner for all Scouts and their parents at the school Wednes day, March 19 at 6 p.m. The dinner will be given in the school cafeteria. On the decoration committee are Mrs. Thomas Stock man and Mrs. Verner Christensen. The serving committee includes Mrs. Fred Miller, Mrs. Frank Smith and Mrs. Frank Rhodes.
